Goethes Italian Journey

At irregular intervals, my husband and I travel to the places Johann Wolfgang von Goethe visited during his journey through Italy between 1786 and 1788. The country's overwhelming wealth of cultural treasures—spanning from antiquity and the Renaissance to the Baroque—along with the beauty of its landscapes, its way of life, its language, and the quality of its unique culinary culture, continue to offer an incomparable educational experience today, just as they did in Goethe's time.
