Weimar Republic and Third Reich (2 hours)

1–4 persons: € 130 / 5–20 persons: € 155 (every additional person € 12 each, max. 30)

This tour sheds light on the light and shadow of Weimar's ambivalent history in the first half of the 20th century – be it in front of the German National Theatre, as the founding site of the Weimar Constitution or the oversized "Gauforum", which was planned and built from 1936 onwards as a Gau administrative centre and place of consecration for the party and "Führer" in the middle of the city.

See the place where the special "spirit of Weimar" inspired the members of the National Assembly when drafting Germany's first democratic constitution in 1919. But also learn about the disastrous end of the Weimar Republic and the appropriation of the city by the National Socialists, which was to become part of the new thousand-year history of the Reich as an "experimental field for Germania".
